Collecta Mapusaurus – Hunting – L

The name means ‘Earth Lizard’. It was a huge theropod carnivore of the Late Cretaceous some 97-93 million years ago, that lived in the area of Argentina and Chile. Mapusaurus is believed to have ranged in length between about 10.2 to 12.7 metres. Mapusaurus may have hunted together as a pack or family unit preying on the huge Argentinosaurus with which it shared its environment.
